Hallo from Kulmbach!
It is only our second day in Deutchland and we have already had many adventures.
Let me start with our landing at the Frankfurt airport.
We had everything organized. . . land. . .go get luggage and find the shuttle to pick up our car....easy right?
As we were waiting for our shuttle I turned on my phone and recieved a message from my mom saying her cousin is at the airport looking for us. I panicked and Carlo starts running around terminal 2 trying to find a black mazda (huge terminal). . .our search continued for about an hour until I decided to phone Harald and he told me "No, I am in Kulmbach waiting for you" I think my mom needs to brush up on her Deutch...she translated his message wrong. Anyways, eventually at 8oclock we got our car and drove 3 hours to Kulmbach.
Kulmbach is a small town where my Oma was born. My Tante Betty still lives in the same house that Oma was raised in. It is known for its beer, beer, bratwurst and beer.
Upon our arrival we were greated with beer, fleisch, brot, Kaese and more beer.
Today we went with Tante Betty and Oncle Hubert to the Plassenberg Castle, then for Bratwurst and beer for a snack and a big dinner prepared by Harald; dumplings, sauerkraut, ribs and beer mixed with lemon water. He touched on Carlo's Italiano side by making Italian drinks and shooters.
We are safe and sound.
Best wishes.
