Hello from Prague !
We are writing from our tent in the back of a Czech farmers yard. We arrived here late this afternoon from Munich aka Oktoberfest. The only word we could use to describe Oktoberfest is "crazy."
You could feel the German spirit everywhere you looked. The streets were filled with lederhosen(mens outfit),Dirndl (ladies outfit), Beer, pretzels, potato salad and many other goodies. The crowds of people seemed endless. I wish we had more time but we had to hit the road and start our journey to Prague.
We pulled over half way between Munich and Prague to find a little B n B in a small Bavarian village. The Charming owner told us about his Alaskan fishing adventures while he cooked us up some spaetzle ( german noodles with cheese) and poured us a colaweizen (cola and beer). We woke up to a fantastic breakfast in which we consumed our first piece of fruit since our arrival. We forgot how fantastic apples and bananas taste.
We packed up our car and made our way to the Czech Republic. We set up tent. Bought some buns, cheese and sausage and are ready to hit the hay. Tomorrow we explore the city or Prague. And on Monday we will make our way to Hungary.
Tomorrow when we get my computer plugged in we will add some photos our German adventure; castles, churches ; Oktoberfest and much more.
Cheers and best wishes.
